MTN Ghana will be shutting down the MTN Mobile Money (momo) servers on Friday, 14th August 2020 for a system upgrade. The maintenance will take a period of 3 days, starting from Friday, 14th August 2020 to Sunday, 16th August 2020. Servers will be up working perfectly by the mornings of Monday, 17th August 2020.

As to why they shutting down their server, they are working on tightening their security system as they’ve been signalled of an attack on their system. The case has already been reported to the Ghana Police and investigation is underway.
